Jakarta - PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) formulated a protocol to anticipate the new normal amid the global pandemic COVID-19.
In accordance with guidelines from the Ministry of SOEs, the Protocol applies to human resources in the company (human capital & culture) and regulates the workings (process & technology), as well as reaching external parties including customers (airplane passengers, airlines, etc.), suppliers, partners , and other stakeholders.
PT Angkasa Pura II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin said the protocol was certainly in full effect by observing the latest conditions and following the government's decision or the Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19.
"What is clear, with this new protocol, our target is to create an organization that is ready to move efficiently and effectively in maintaining national air connectivity amid the COVID-19 pandemic. We know that Indonesia is an archipelago, and the most effective transportation to reach these islands is by plane. "
"To be an organization that is ready to move in the midst of a pandemic, PT Angkasa Pura II must realize resilient operations, adapt quickly, and prioritize lean operations," said Muhammad Awaluddin.
Resilient Operation
Muhammad Awaluddin said in order to achieve resilient operations, the company for example set new procedures for employees in their work patterns and work norms.
"In the new procedure there are two work patterns for employees of PT Angkasa Pura II, namely working from the office [work from office / WFO], and working anywhere [work from anywhere / WFA] which means it can work at home or other representative places. "
The application of WFO or WFA is accompanied by a formulated monitoring and evaluation mechanism.
Meanwhile, the implementation of resilient operations at PT Angkasa Pura II airports for example by the stipulation of Operation Guidelines in Implementing The New Normal Scenario at PT Angkasa Pura II Airport.
The guideline regulates all aspects of human, business processes and facilities at the airport related to the prevention and handling of COVID-19.
One of the provisions in the guideline is for example the obligation for personnel to use personal protective equipment (PPE) including masks, gloves, face shields, google, and hazmat according to conditions.
In the guidelines, there are also provisions for airplane passengers or airport visitors, for example, they are required to use masks and are encouraged to do self check-in when processing departure.
Another guideline formulated is the Airport Customer Service Guidelines in Implementing The New Normal Scenario at PT Angkasa Pura II Airport, which regulates all aspects of service when passengers want to travel, while at the airport, and after making a flight.
One of the provisions in this guideline is that tenants at the airport must provide hand sanitizers, maintain physical distancing and disinfect all tenant areas.
Agility Operation
Muhammad Awaluddin said that agility and agile operations were needed in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic in order to anticipate rapid changes.
"PT Angkasa Pura II is always dynamic in compiling standard operating procedures [SOP] by paying attention to all stakeholders. Through the SOP that follows developments, we can realize an agility operation, "said Muhammad Awaluddin.
