Muhammad Awaluddin emphasized that the implementation of the New Normal protocol depended on official government decisions or the Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19.
"The New Normal SOE Protocol takes into account the establishment of Large Scale Social Restrictions [PSBB] and is enforced if there is an official decision from the Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19 or from the government. There is no exact date for the implementation of this protocol, both regarding when employees must return to work from the office and criteria for who should work in the office, "said Muhammad Awaluddin.
Furthermore, Muhammad Awaluddin said the New Normal protocol in the airport environment would prioritize services with information technology and pay attention to physical distancing.
"For example, PT Angkasa Pura II personnel at the airport will be equipped with special uniforms or PPE, then biometric systems can be used in conjunction with aviation service, safety and security. Then the airlines and passengers will be directed to use self check-in kiosk, mobile check-in and web check-in, compared to coming to the check-in counter, "said Muhammad Awaluddin.
In addition, The New Normal protocol will also touch commercial tenant activities, for example there is an obligation for tenants to provide hand sanitizers, and are directed to implement transactions without cash (cashless) using cards or electronic wallets, as well as implementing physical distancing procedures.
Muhammad Awaluddin said the timeline for implementing the New Normal protocol would be submitted to the SOE Ministry on May 25, 2020.
