Jakarta - PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) distributes assistance in the form of personal protective equipment (PPE), medical equipment and vitamins for 7 health centers located in Tangerang, Banten.

Aid in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, distributed on May 6, 2020, took the form of a thermo gun (14 units); surgical mask (280 boxes); hand sanitizer @ 5 liters (14 jerry cans); nurse hat (14 squares); N95 mask (21 boxes); face shield (140 pcs); hazmat clothing (700 pcs); multivitamin (21 boxes); bed, infusion pole, ladder bed (2 packages); boots (84 pairs); gloves (7,000 pcs), hand sanitizer @ 1 liter (21 bottles); and milk (210 cans).

Finance Director of PT Angkasa Pura II Wiweko Probojakti hopes that this assistance can support puskesmas in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Puskesmas are the health facilities closest to human settlements and relatively easy to reach. In line with that, puskesmas need to get support from various parties so that they can take immediate action in the midst of this pandemic, for example"

"We hope that this assistance can also help the puskesmas to play an important role in the prevention, education and community monitoring functions," Wiweko Probojakti said.

Previously, PT Angkasa Pura II had also distributed medical devices and personal protective equipment (PPE) to Tangerang General Hospital, Serang Regency Hospital and Banten Provincial Government.

Aid to hospitals was distributed on April 15, 2020 in the form of gloves, hazmat, boots, thermal rifles, surgical masks and scarves.

By strengthening the need for medical equipment and PPE in puskesmas and hospitals, it is hoped that efforts to prevent the spread and break the COVID-19 chain in the community can be optimized.
