Jakarta - PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) informed that international flight operations are currently operating normally at the company's airport.

Operation of international flights is not regulated in the Minister of Transportation Regulation No. 25 of 2020 concerning Transportation Control During the Eid Al-Fitr Hometown of 1441 Hijri in the Context of Prevention of Corona Virus 2019 (COVID-19).

In line with this, Director General of Civil Aviation Ministry of Transportation Novie Riyanto asserted that international flights to and from Indonesia continue to run normally with reference to the health protocol COVID-19.

PT Angkasa Pura II Airport, which currently serves scheduled international flights, is Soekarno-Hatta (Tangerang), with an average flight this month of around 40 flights / day.

International flights are also still served in Kualanamu (Deli Serdang) with an average flight of only 1-2 flights / day this month.

PT Angkasa Pura II Corporate Communication VP Yado Yarismano said the company had coordinated with the Ministry of Transportation regarding international flight permits to operate.

"We have coordinated with the civil aviation regulator in this matter the Ministry of Transportation, and indeed Permenhub No. stated/2025 only regulates restrictions on domestic flights, so that international flights can still be operated."

Whereas domestic flights are currently operated for all routes. The ban on domestic flights carrying passengers to and from the PSBB area and / or the red zone is fully enforced tomorrow, Saturday 25 April 2020.

PT Angkasa Pura II urges domestic flight ticket holders to contact the airlines related to the latest flight status amidst the global COVID-19 pandemic to prepare everything.

"The ban on domestic flights to and from PSBB and / or the red zone is fully valid 100% tomorrow. We urge that airlines can provide information to ticket holders, and ticket holders can also contact airlines to get the latest information," Yado Yarismano explained.

Furthermore, Yado Yarismano said that all PT Angkasa Pura II airports continue to operate with due regard to the provisions in Permenhub 25/2020.

In accordance with Permenhub 25/2020, flights that are still served at national airports including PT Angkasa Pura II airport are means of transportation used for leaders of the Republic of Indonesia's high institutions and state guests, embassy operations, consulates general and foreign consulates as well as representatives of international organizations in Indonesia , repatriation of special flight operations for repatriation of Indonesian citizens (WNI) and Foreign Citizens (WNA), law enforcement operations, order and emergency services, cargo transportation operations and other operations with permission from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation in order to support the acceleration of services to address COVID-19
