The Community Comply with DKI Jakarta PSBB, this is Flight Operational Information in Soekarno-Hatta and Halim Perdanakusuma

Jakarta - Large-scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) are imposed from 10 April 2020 in DKI Jakarta.

Along with that, operational passenger flights at Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Tangerang) and Halim Perdanakusuma (Jakarta) on 10-11 April 2020 have been adjusted.

In line with the implementation of the PSBB by the public, the movement of planes in Soekarno-Hatta on April 10 recorded 328 movements, down 3.24% compared to April 9 with 339 aircraft movements

Then, on April 11 the number of aircraft movements was 253 movements, down 22.86% compared to April 10.

President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) Muhammad Awaluddin said the decline in the number of flights indicated that airlines and the public had indeed understood and adhered to the enactment of DKI Jakarta's PSBB.

"The number of flights in Soekarno-Hatta has decreased with the aircraft load factor is also estimated to be no more than 50% in line with the PSBB that Jakarta residents are obeying."

"More flights are operated on domestic routes, and very little on international routes in line with the global pandemic COVID-19," said Muhammad Awaluddin.

Same with Soekarno-Hatta, a decrease in flights also occurred at Halim Perdanakusuma. On April 10, there were 75 aircraft movements, down 20.21% compared to April 9, which was 95 movements.

On April 11 at Halim Perdanakusuma there were 53 aircraft movements, down 29.33% compared to April 10.

"Flights have indeed experienced a decline, but on the other hand this is expected to break the chain of the spread of COVID-19 along with the implementation of PSBB," explained Muhammad Awaluddin.

Furthermore, Muhammad Awaluddin said that flight operations that still looked a little excited were cargo flights.

"Cargo flights are needed to transport medical equipment and various assistance. Today there are 3 cargo flights in Soekarno-Hatta. "

As for now PT Angkasa Pura II has set a Minimum Operation status in Soekarno-Hatta and Halim Perdanakusuma. This means that adjustments are made to operational patterns by optimizing facilities in accordance with aircraft and passenger traffic.

The Minimum Operation status also allows operational personnel at the airport to apply the concept of work from home (WFH) thereby reducing the risk of being exposed to COVID-19.

Travelers and airport visitors should wear masks

PT Angkasa Pura II also requested that travelers and airport visitors wear masks while at the airport.

This is in line with government directives so that we all wear cloth masks when we are outdoors.

"We ask that travelers and airport visitors always wear masks while at the airport as an effort to break the chain of the spread of COVID-19," said Muhammad Awaluddin.
