Jakarta - PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) applies the concept of social restrictions or social distancing at airports managed by the company to prevent transmission of COVID-19.
The implementation of social distancing is carried out by optimizing the available space in the terminal to create the recommended distance for airplane passengers, especially in areas where airplane passengers gather.
Examples of the application of social distancing include the pasting of a number of yellow lines on the floor, each spaced 1 meter as a marker of the queue for airplane passengers.
"The existence of the yellow line makes each passenger stand with a safe distance at each point of the queue in order to minimize the risk of spreading COVID-19," said President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II Muhammad Awaluddin.
The yellow line, for example, is posted on the floor to the security check point (SCP), as well as on the fixed bridge and garbarata floors to separate the distance of passengers when queuing when boarding.
In addition, each elevator in the passenger terminal has also been given a standing limit for each individual. When in the elevator, every individual is prohibited from meeting face-to-face or must face the walls and doors of the elevator.
Do not forget, PT Angkasa Pura II restructured seats in the waiting room (boarding lounge) by prioritizing sufficient distance between passengers.
"The application of social distancing through the yellow line dividing the queue, then the standing limit in the elevator, and the rearrangement of seats in the boarding lounge has been implemented in our airports such as Soekarno-Hatta, Depati Amir Pangkalpinang, Supadio Pontianak, Kualanamu, Banyuwangi, and others. so."
"We are making various possible efforts to be implemented at airports so that the spread of COVID-19 can be prevented," explained Muhammad Awaluddin.
The implementation of social distancing in this terminal is the latest effort of PT Angkasa Pura II in preventing the spread of COVID-19, in addition to what has been done such as spraying disinfectant liquid, providing many hand sanitizers, checking the body temperature of passengers, and others.
