PT Angkasa Pura II airports won 30 ACI awards, Soekarno-Hatta won the Most Improved in Asia Pacific

Jakarta - Airport Council International (ACI) has awarded a total of 30 Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Awards to nine airports under the management of PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero).

The award is an appreciation to the PT Angkasa Pura II airport which is able to provide the best customer experience based on the opinion of the airplane passengers at each airport itself.

Opinions from these passengers were obtained through the ASQ survey process at 380 airports in 90 countries and involving 8.8 million passengers.

Airports that won awards were Depati Amir, Raja Haji Fisabilillah, Silangit, Husein Sastranegara, Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II, Sultan Syarif Kasim II, Supadio, Halim Perdanakusuma and Soekarno-Hatta.

PT Angkasa Pura II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin said the ACI award was a form of global trust in the ability of national airports to deliver high service standards to aircraft passengers.

"Service levels at PT Angkasa Pura II airports are always increasing every year so they are able to maintain various awards from ACI. Last year we won 22 awards for 6 airports and this year increased to 30 awards for 9 airports, including the only Most Improved in Asia Pacific award that was won by Soekarno-Hatta. "

"The success of Soekarno-Hatta cannot be separated from the various developments that were carried out. Service in Terminal 3 is getting better in serving domestic and international flight routes, since 2019 LCC has also operated a special terminal, Terminal 2F. Not to forget that in Soekarno-Hatta there are also airport trains as public transportation, and Skytrain which is the main mode of inter-terminal movement, "explained Muhammad Awaluddin.

In addition, Soekarno-Hatta was chosen as a pilot project for various information technology developments to support operations and services such as the Airport Operation Control Center, Terminal Operation Center, iPerform Apps, Self Boarding Gate, Autogate and E-ticket at the bus shelter, self check-in kiosk and self-baggage drop, iMATE Lounge, Airsport Arena, Digital Droid, to also be the first place to operate the electric taxi Blue Bird and GrabCar Electric.

"Infrastructure and digital development enhances operational and service effectiveness so that Soekarno-Hatta deserves the title of Most Impressed in Asia Pacific," Muhammad Awaluddin said.

ACI World Director General Angela Gittens said the ASQ Award program was the highest award for airport managers around the world.

"The Airport Service Quality Awards represent the highest recognition for airport managers worldwide and recognize excellence in customer experience," said Angela Gittens.
