Returning Excited, Passenger of Nataru Transport Aircraft in 16 PT Angkasa Pura II Airport Translucent 3.2 Million People in 11 Days!

Jakarta - The realization of the number of aircraft passengers in 16 PT Angkasa Pura II airports on December 19 - December 29, 2019 or on the 11th day of the Christmas and New Year (Nataru) Transport Period reached 3.2 million people.

Meanwhile, the total aircraft movements reached 23,666 movements with the level of on time performance (OTP) every day on average always above 80%.

These data also indicate that domestic airplane passenger traffic has returned to life during the peak season at the end of this year.

"In 11 days, the number of aircraft passenger movements at 16 airports in PT Angkasa Pura II has reached 3.2 million passengers. This is a moderate number and indicates that traffic is gradually returning to normal, "said PT Angkasa Pura II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin.

As for December 19 - December 29, 2019, the most passenger movements were at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, reaching 1.96 million passengers or around 60% of the total at 16 airports.

The top 5 domestic destinations of Soekarno-Hatta during Nataru Transport are Bali, Surabaya, Kualanamu, Makassar and Yogyakarta.

For international routes, the Top 5 from Soekarno-Hatta are Singapore, Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Bangkok (Thailand), Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) and Hong Kong.

Target of 5 Million Passengers
Muhammad Awaluddin said this positive trend in passenger movement made PT Angkasa Pura II optimistic that the number of passenger movements during the Christmas and New Year Transportation on 19 December 2019 to 6 January 2020 could reach more than 5 million passengers.

"A number of factors helped drive the number of passengers to reach 3.2 million passengers in 11 days, where all stakeholders have the same commitment in providing the best service during Christmas and New Year's Transport."

"We will strive for the number of aircraft passengers in the Christmas and New Year Transport Period to reach 5 million passengers," Muhammad Awaluddin said.

In the mudik flow, the peak of passenger movement occurred on December 20, 2019 with the number of passengers at 16 airports reaching 322,514 passengers.

Meanwhile it is estimated that the peak reverse flow will occur on Sunday, January 5, 2020, with an estimated number of aircraft passengers reaching around 311,000 passengers.

PT Angkasa Pura II appealed for airplane passengers to arrive 2 hours before the scheduled departure time to have sufficient time in processing departures during the holiday period later this year.

To support the smooth operation of Christmas and New Year's Transport, PT Angkasa Pura II operates the Nataru Command Post with full digital equipment and equipment and presents digital-based service facilities for aircraft passengers.

During this busy period, PT Angkasa Pura II has also operated runway 3 and east connection taxiway (ECT) to expedite aircraft traffic on the air side of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport so that service to airlines and also passenger aircraft can be increased.
