Holds Muster Alert for Christmas and New Year Transport Simultaneously at 16 Airports, PT Angkasa Pura II Placing 10,000 Personnel

Jakarta - PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) on Wednesday, December 19, 2019, simultaneously held the Apple Alert for Christmas and New Year 2019/2020 at the airports managed by the company.

Apples in 16 airports under PT Angkasa Pura II namely Kualanamu (Deli Serdang), Sultan Syarif Kasim II (Pekanbaru), Mahmud Badaruddin II (Palembang), Minangkabau (Padang), Supadio (Pontianak), Halim Perdanakusuma (Jakarta), Husein Sastranegara (Bandung), Sultan Thaha (Jambi), Depati Amir (Pangkalpinang), Sultan Iskandar Muda (Aceh), Raja Haji Fisabilillah (Tanjung Pinang), Silangit, Banyuwangi, Tjilik Riwut (Palangkaraya), Kertajati (West Java), and Soekarno- Hatta.

PT Angkasa Pura II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin said the Siaga Apple was held to ensure that all personnel at the airport were ready and had the same spirit in serving and maintaining security during the peak holiday season at the end of this year.

"The airports under PT Angkasa Pura II held the Nataru Transport Apple Alert as a commitment of all personnel in maintaining security, comfort and safety at the airport during the Christmas and New Year Transport period."

"The Alert Nataru Apple was attended by personnel from internal PT Angkasa Pura II, TNI / Polri, Quarantine, Customs and Excise, Immigration, Basarnas, and other agencies. We are all committed to creating a good travel experience for airplane passengers on long year-end holidays, "said Muhammad Awaluddin.

As for the Christmas and New Year Transport Period which runs from December 19, 2019 to January 6, 2020, the number of PT Angkasa Pura II personnel alerted at 16 airports reached 10,240 personnel.

The 10,240 personnel consist of 1,089 personnel in engineering (mechanical electricity, electronics, infrastructure), then 4,564 personnel in operations (PKP-PK, airport security, apron movement control), and 4,587 personnel in the service sector (Terminal Inspection Service, customer service, contact center).

"We hope that personnel can continue to create comfort, security and safety in the midst of increasing aviation traffic."

As for the Christmas and New Year Transportation for 2019/2020, the number of passengers at 16 airports is estimated to reach 5.59 million passengers with a projected flight frequency of 42,379 flights.

"In carrying out their duties, all personnel of PT Angkasa Pura II including those on duty during the Christmas and New Year Transportation are provided with the iPerform application. This application facilitates the operation of airports digitally to ensure excellent service to every passenger of the aircraft, especially during peak season, "said Muhammad Awaluddin.

In addition, at each airport PT Angkasa Pura II has also been operated by the Christmas and New Year Digital Transportation Command Post to monitor all airport activities and coordinate security and service personnel in responding to various issues.

The Christmas and New Year Posts in Soekarno-Hatta this year are different from previous years because they are equipped with full digitization facilities to monitor CCTV, conduct video conferences, display flight frequencies and the number of passengers in realtime, and so on.

To support the personnel, at each airport there are also various facilities such as walkthrough metal detectors, handheld metal detectors, airport rescue fire fighting vehicles, x-ray machines, and others.
