BUMN Synergy: Jasa Marga Jointly with Bulog and AP II Distributes Donations to 500 Children Orphanages and Cheap Food Packages

Palangka Raya (12/20) - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk. together with Perum Bulog and PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) or AP II distributed donations to 500 orphans from five orphanages in Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan. Distribution of donations in order to welcome Christmas 2019 and New Year 2020.

The symbolic handover of donations took place during the 2019 Christmas Celebration and 2020 New Year at the Swiss-Belhotel Danum, Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan, Friday (12/20).

Director of Finance Angkasa Pura II Bayu Rafisukmawan, Jasa Marga Nixon Sitorus Strategic Transformation Office Coordinator, Jasa Marga Community Development Department Head, Titi Purwatiningsih, and Central Kalimantan Bulum Housing Corporation Chief Mika Ramba.

In his remarks Yuel Tanggara, representing the Governor of Central Kalimantan, said that this activity was a form of caring, tolerance and love between religious communities.

"This concern is to always be developed and instilled in the children of the nation, so that it can foster a conducive and harmonious atmosphere within one tribe, religion, race and class in Central Kalimantan", he said.

Bayu Rafisukmawan explained, "The SOE Program Comes to the Country in order to welcome Christmas and the New Year this time carries the theme" BUMN Sharing for Fellow "which invites the public, especially the orphanage children to share their joy so they can feel the joy of the celebration of Christmas 2019 and New Year 2020 ", he said.

The donation activity to 500 orphans / orphans in the five orphanages is a series of 2019 BUMN Present for the State (BHUN) events initiated by the Ministry of SOEs. Specifically in order to welcome Christmas 2019 and the New Year 2020, Jasa Marga was appointed as Deputy Coordinator with the State Logistics Agency, while AP II was the Main Coordinator.

In order to welcome Christmas 2019 and the New Year 2020, Titi explained, there were various programs carried out by the three SOEs mentioned above.

"Perum Bulog distributed 500 low-cost basic food packages and clean water supplies in 4 locations of worship, while AP II was in the form of distributing 1000 biblical books and compensation to 500 orphans / orphans, each of which amounted to Rp250 thousand. Jasa Marga itself distributed donations totaling Rp150 million, consisting of Rp100 million in the form of equipment and facilities for orphanages and Rp.50 million in the form of Christmas gifts distributed during Christmas celebrations, "Titi detailed.

Titi hopes that this donation can benefit the community. Moreover, the prices of various necessities of life usually get higher before the Christmas and New Year holidays.

The five orphanages that received donations were Maria Ines Orphanage, Immanuel, Smart House, Bread of Life, and Agape. All of the orphanages are in Palangka Raya and surrounding areas. The donations that are distributed are various daily needs of foster children, for example spring beds, wardrobes, bicycles, TVs, fans, building materials, volleyball and basketball.

Agustina Andini, Maria Anes Orphanage Orphanage, expressed her gratitude for receiving assistance before Christmas this year.

"We thank you for your attention and we are very happy for your help from SOEs, especially Jasa Marga," he said.

Implemented since 2015, the BHUN program is an effort to realize the real role of SOEs so that the benefits of SOEs for the community can truly be felt by the community.
