Jakarta - PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) on Tuesday, December 3, 2019, held a grand opening of APSpace's premium coworking space, located in the East Lobby of Terminal 3 Domestic Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.
APSpace is the first premium coworking space in Indonesia which is located at the airport, the result of cooperation between a subsidiary of PT Angkasa Pura II namely PT Angkasa Pura Solusi (APS) with Unionspace.
Unionspace itself is a global-class company that already operates coworking space, among others in Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, and will overtake Singapore and China.
PT Angkasa Pura II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin said APSpace was one of the premium services at the airport in order to make Soekarno-Hatta Airport a center of economic activity and part of a millennial and professional lifestyle.
"We project the existence of APSpace to meet the needs of passengers and visitors, as well as the airport community for coworking space services that can become a networking hub, meeting point and business center. Going forward, the East Lobby area, starting from the SMMILE Center, Plaza Amphitheater, and APSpace will maximized also being an area of business development ecosystem for SMEs ".
Furthermore, Muhammad Awaluddin said that APSpace is one of the products that was born from the innovation of PT Angkasa Pura II to hook the millennial market with a flexible work culture and always wanted to expand networking.
"The presence of APSpace is one of the AP II Group's strategies in anticipating dynamic changes in airport services, especially for millennial professionals," Muhammad Awaluddin said.
APSpace provides a flexible workspace for users, especially from professionals or companies that need modern meeting room and office facilities with modern features. The 500 square meters coworking space has three types of rooms, consisting of 12 Serviced Offices, 2 Meeting Rooms and 1 Event Space.
Unionspace Director Erwin Soerjadi said that the existence of APSpace is expected to be a meeting point for professionals to develop skills and collaborate.
"In order to connect with each other through APSpace with activities that support entrepreneurship such as ease of meeting points, business talk, incubation and training classes," explained Erwin Soerjadi.
Ph. President Director of PT Angkasa Pura Solusi Yundriati Erdanie revealed that in the future there will be additional integrated features in the APSpace coworking service, as well as in a number of other facilities managed by the company.

APSpace itself is part of the integrated area of the SMMILE Center, "said Yundriati Erdani.
The SMMILE (Small, Micro, Medium Business Incubator Learning) Center is a center for development and training activities for the Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) sector, located in Domestic Terminal 3. This area is projected to provide support for SMEs, through three main programs, namely Incubation (SME Experience Center), Training (SME Traning Center), and Financing (SME Financial Center).
The three programs are a form of AP II Group's efforts to support the development of the creative economy, especially for the MSME sector at the airport managed by PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero).
"In this synergy, APSpace can act as a training and incubation center for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in order to expand market access through digitalization. To realize this, PT Angkasa Pura Solusi collaborated with various partners, including Unionspace and its network, '' explained Yundriati Erdani.
