Jakarta - PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) today, Wednesday 20 November 2019, inaugurated a new building as well as the operational Airport Learning Center (ALC) which is the first education training center in Indonesia to anticipate the dynamics of airport services in the future.
ALC which is located in the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport area was built with the spirit of human resources in the field of airport which is more powerful than the previous generation.
President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) Muhammad Awaluddin said the existence of ALC to achieve three main objectives namely the birth of a reliable leader (Center of Chiefship), forming personnel who have in-depth knowledge of airport services (Center of Competence), and realizing global standards throughout Angkasa Pura II airport (Center of Certification).
Furthermore, Muhammad Awaluddin said ALC was also formed to anticipate future changes that we grouped into 3 things, namely Business Model Variability, Infrastructure / Operation Complexity, and Dynamic Competencies. ALC itself has an Opportunity For Improvement tagline.
"The first thing a company should think about is giving birth to more powerful leaders and HR. For this reason the Airport Learning Center was formed. We hope that this ALC can support human development in Indonesia through the Advanced Indonesian Superior HR program. "
"At this time ALC is intended for the internal environment of Angkasa Pura II, but it does not rule out the possibility for the future to be opened also to external circles," said Muhammad Awaluddin.
The ALC building is located in the office area of the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, complete with 10 classrooms with modern technology, 1 auditorium, 1 amphitheater, 1 e-library, 1 simulation room, VIP Lounge and dining hall.
The learning is given to various levels of employees, ranging from new employees to employees entering retirement.
Meanwhile 2 major ALC programs are the Great People Development Program (GPDP) and the Great Leader Development Program (GLDP).
"ALC also cooperates with various universities so that employees of Angkasa Pura II can get scholarships at Padjadjaran University, ITB, UGM, UI, Telkom University, Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and Coventry University in the United Kingdom," said Muhammad Awaluddin.
ALC is also projected to support PT Angkasa Pura II's vision of becoming the Best Smart Connected Airport Operator in The Region.
PT Angkasa Pura II itself is ready to carry out Strategic Transformation 4.0 with road maps from 2020 to 2025 where this program prioritizes airport development and service improvement through artificial intelligence, internet of things, robotic, automation, nanotechnology, blockchain, 3D printing technology to quantum computing.
"Learning and training at the Airport Learning Center are in accordance with Strategic Transformation 4.0 and the vision of PT Angkasa Pura II to become the Best Smart Connected Airport Operators in the Region," explained Muhammad Awaluddin.
At this time, PT Angkasa Pura II has started to use robots as one of the customer service personnel, named robot DiLo. In addition, Angkasa Pura II was also strengthened by Digital Officers with Digital Devices (DODD), namely a number of personnel at the airport equipped with gadgets to speed up service.
