Jakarta - Skytrax once again held The World Airport Awards 2020, which is an award event for the best airports in the world.

Moreover, The World Airport Awards are rated as the 'Oscar Award for the aviation industry', and are a global benchmark of airport excellence standards.

Determination of airports that won in this event also involved travelers around the world by filling out surveys online. The Skytrax survey and methodology for the award are recognized to be very transparent and the process is 100% independent by not accepting payments from any airports or other organizations.

Following this, Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi invited airport service users to choose Soekarno-Hatta International Airport as The Best Airport in the Skytrax survey.

"Hopefully the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport will become the gateway for the Indonesian state to become better service and become the best in the world," said the Minister of Transportation.

Meanwhile, President Director of PT Angkasa Pura II Muhammad Awaluddin also requested the support of the Indonesian people in a survey conducted by Skytrax so that Soekarno-Hatta could become the best airport in the world.

"We ask for support so that Indonesian people and travelers can fill out an online survey of Skytrax to select and assess Soekarno-Hatta Airport, so that our proud airport, Soekarno-Hatta, can be named The Best Airport in The World Airport Awards 2020."

Soekarno-Hatta now operates with Terminal 1, Terminal 2, and Terminal 3 which are the largest and most grand passenger terminals in Indonesia.

In addition, Soekarno-Hatta is also equipped with an Airport Train Station to accommodate train operations connecting Soekarno-Hatta with the BNI City Station in the Sudirman area, downtown Jakarta.

The busiest airport in Indonesia also operates a sophisticated mode of transportation that can operate unmanned, namely Skytrain to facilitate the mobility of travelers, visitors and airport workers to move from and to Terminal 1, Terminal 2, Terminal 3 and the Airport Train Station.
