Following this, in the last two years Angkasa Pura II carried out a transformation in the human resources sector in order to achieve the goal of becoming the Best Smart Connected Airport Operator in the Region.
President Director of Angkasa Pura II Muhammad Awaluddin said the transformation of human resources carried out was one of them to prepare employees to engage in digital business.
"We are preparing thousands of digital employees so that in the third year the transformation is ready to sharpen penetration in the digital business including big data airports, airport e-commerce, airport e-payments, airport e-advertising and airport communities."
"The digital business can certainly support our main business, namely airport management to be more professional and oriented towards global standards," Muhammad Awaluddin said.
Since the transformation of HR was carried out, Angkasa Pura II also immediately started a competency development program by providing postgraduate scholarships.
In 2017, 33 employees successfully passed the selection to win a scholarship at the School of Business and Management of the Bandung Institute of Technology. Today, Friday, October 18, 2019, they all held the graduation inauguration and were declared graduated.
"The competence of the 33 employees graduating today is clearly increasing and they will be given a strategic role to strengthen Angkasa Pura II," Muhammad Awaluddin said.
As for 2018, as many as 36 employees received a Master of Management Padjadjaran University scholarship.
Then in 2019 the postgraduate program was extended to the Digital Business study program at Telkom University. At present there are 11 employees who are running the program.
Not limited to scholarships, the skills of Angkasa Pura II employees were also sharpened by the inclusion of various trainings held by global institutions in the world aviation industry such as Airport Council International (ACI), International Air Transport Association (IATA) and International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
Angkasa Pura II now also has an Airport Learning Center which has two major programs for improving employee competency, the Great People Development Program and the Great Leader Development Program. The presence of the Airport Learning Center can certainly prepare employees according to the dynamic needs of the company.

As for 2020, the formation of the number of employees determined by Angkasa Pura II is around 13,000 people along with the increasing number of business portfolios and the number of airports managed by the company.
