Angkasa Pura II and Astra International Group Sign MoU to Develop Digitizing Services at the Airport

09 Oct 2019

Jakarta - PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) and PT Astra Digital Internasional, a subsidiary of PT Astra International Tbk, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) related to mobility services at Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

The signing of the MoU was carried out by President Director of Angkasa Pura II Muhammad Awaluddin and President Director of Astra Digital International Djap Tet Fa today, Wednesday 9 October 2019, at APSpace's premium coworking space at Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

Through the MoU, Astra Digital will officially provide three application-based services in Soekarno-Hatta namely Cariparkir to order regular parking slots and special car stays, then Movic for car rentals and In line to order bus tickets.

President Director of Angkasa Pura II Muhammad Awaluddin said the MoU marked a joint commitment between Angkasa Pura II and Astra International Group to improve customer experience in Soekarno-Hatta.

"Angkasa Pura II is preparing many digital-based services and operations, and today Astra Digital brings a solution for mobility that is to facilitate parking search, vehicle rental, and bus ticket purchases through the application. This MoU will ensure that the services are in accordance with existing procedures and related business processes, and so on. "

"Digital transformations have been carried out by Angkasa Pura II since three years ago with the main objective of creating hassle-free, stress-free, and confusion-free services at the airport. Digital is an infrastructure that can help find solutions to various needs precisely and quickly, "explained Muhammad Awaluddin.

Muhammad Awaluddin added that all airports under Angkasa Pura II were now developed with the concept of smart connected, which means having integrated services through digitalization.

In the same place, Astra International Director Paulus Bambang Santoso said Astra International together with Angkasa Pura II wanted to show Indonesian hospitality at airports through digitization-based services.

The MoU signed today is also considered to be the first step in good synergy between SOEs and the private sector.

"The most important thing is that we together show that we have a moment of truth in Indonesia at the airport. Once people enter the airport, feel Indonesian hospitality through the airport. "

"Especially if everything is connected later, they will already feel welcomed by Indonesia. We are able to think of something because this digital element makes people smart, "Paulus Bambang explained.

Paulus Bambang said that digital-based mobility services through the Cariparkir, Movic, and Sejalan applications owned by Astra Digital are a good starting point in making the airport a friendly Indonesian Gateway.

"For us this is a good starting point in order to make this airport the Lobby of Indonesia and the Gateway to Indonesia. Because whoever he enters into the airport will become smart, because it is indeed equipped with smart infrastructure built by Angkas Pura II, smart content that is built together, and as a result we have a smart community. "

"Everyoby is not competing but collaborating. We don't feel competing with others because we are building Indonesia, "Paulus Bambang explained.

Astra Digital and Angkasa Pura II will continue to innovate to improve their services digitally to the entire community. It is also possible that Astra Digital will increase its services at airports other than those mentioned above.
