Jakarta - PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) is building two hotels in Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in order to provide facilities and services to aircraft passengers.

The location of the hotel construction is precisely at Terminal 3 International and Terminal 3 Domestic.

The first hotel to be built is located in International Terminal 3, while for hotels in Domestic Terminal 3 in May 2019 a contract for the procurement of construction services was signed between AP II and Wika Gedung.

The hotel project progress in Terminal 3 International has now reached around 70% and is expected to be completely completed by the end of 2019.

The hotel in Terminal 3 International itself is prepared in a 4-star class, consisting of 147 rooms and equipped with meeting rooms, restaurants, spas and gyms.

Built on 4,500 square meters of land, the hotel has 3 floors with a total building area of around 18,000 square meters.

Planned room types consist of several types, namely: Standard King (83 rooms), Standard Twin (55 rooms), Junior Suite (4 rooms), Executive Suite (3 rooms), Deluxe Suite (1 room), Difable room (1 room) ).

SVP of Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) Deni Krisnowibowo said that at the end of September 2019 as many as 50 rooms will be completed.

Then, the construction of 97 rooms and restaurants and a lobby area will be completed in October 2019, then the completion of the construction of the kitchen on 31 December 2019.

"The hotel in Terminal 3 International is an effort of Angkasa Pura II to increase the competitiveness of Soekarno-Hatta and increase revenue from inorganic business, besides of course also to make facilities and services more complete," said Deni Krisnowibowo.

Meanwhile, PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) EGM of Commercial Service Division, Dorma Manalu, said that the potential market for 4-star hotels in Soekarno-Hatta is wide open following the number of aircraft passengers reaching around 200,000 people every day at the airport.

"Angkasa Pura II wants to take a niche in this 4-star hotel business, moreover the choice of 4-star hotels is very limited around the airport. Preparations are currently underway and so far it has run smoothly, "Dorma Manalu explained.

Hotels in Terminal 3 International are likely to be opened gradually or not wait until the entire area is completely built. The decision on when to open the hotel will be informed in the near future.

Now Angkasa Pura II has also opened a capsule hotel in Domestic Terminal 3, where the hotel has received recognition from the global travel industry by earning 8.6 points on the 2018 Guest Review Award from Booking.com.

The hotel opened by Angkasa Pura II at Kualanamu International Airport under the Horizon Sky brand also won 9.1 points in the 2018 Guest Review Award.

"This award that was achieved by the hotels at Angkasa Pura II airport indicates that we are very committed to developing an inorganic business to accelerate the company's overall growth," Dorma Manalu explained.
