Welcoming the 74th Indonesian Independence Day, PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) Distributes Discounts to Airlines

Jakarta - Welcoming the Indonesian Governor's Independence Day, PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) offers discounted services to airlines.

Fares to the airline for 3 types of services and the amount also represents the date of Indonesian independence, 17-08-45.

17% discount is given for Landing Service fees, then 08% discount is given for ordinary counter services at the passenger terminal, then a 45% discount is given for Aviobridge (Garbarata) service fees.

All discounts are valid on August 17, 2019 at all airports managed by Angkasa Pura II, for flights on domestic routes.

Ph. PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) SVP of Corporate Secretary Achmad Rifai said this discount was given specifically to welcome the 74th Indonesian Independence Day.

"We hope that the discounts on landing services, counter services and aviobridge services can help ease the operational burden of the airline."

"In the momentum of this Independence Day, Angkasa Pura II also invites all stakeholders in the aviation industry to further improve services so that it can be the pride of the nation and the country and bring the fragrance of the name of Indonesia at the global level," Achmad Rifai said.

Before discounting the Independence Day, Angkasa Pura II had previously provided various tariff discounts to airlines. In general, the incentives given by Angkasa Pura II consist of two forms, namely Operation Incentive and Marketing Incentive.

Operation Incentive covers discounts on aircraft services at airports such as landing services and aircraft placement services.

Meanwhile, which includes Marketing Incentives are New Route Incentives, New Airlines Entrance Incentives, Red Eye Incentives and Unschedule Flight Incentives. These incentives are still valid today.

"All discounts given by Angkasa Pura II are aimed at making national airlines better in serving the public. The airline can utilize and combine Operation Incentive and Marketing Incentive so that operational expenses are reduced, "Achmad Rifai explained.

In addition to providing discounted service fares to airlines, in commemorating the 74th Indonesian Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, Soekarno-Hatta International Airport has also opened runway 3 for commercial flights.

The inaugural landing of commercial aircraft on runway 3 on Thursday, August 14, 2019, was a historic moment after decades of Soekarno-Hatta operations with 2 runways.

The existence of runway 3 also makes Soekarno-Hatta able to serve more flights, which is up to 114 flights per hour.

The Minister of Transportation, Budi Karya Sumadi, previously stated that the Soekarno-Hatta runway 3 was a gift of the 74th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia.
