Jakarta - No later than July 1, 2019 all domestic flights by jet will be diverted from Husein Sastranegara Airport to Kertajati International Airport.
Following this, PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) stated that Kertajati was ready to serve domestic flight operations, including providing various major facilities and supporting facilities for airlines and aircraft passengers.
Five airlines have also obtained permission from the regulator and said they are ready to operate their flights in Kertajati.
The five airlines are Garuda Indonesia, Citilink, Lion Air, AirAsia Indonesia and Xpress Air.
PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) VP of Corporate Communications Yado Yarismano said that good synergy between airport operators and airlines and other stakeholders made preparations for the flight diversion to run smoothly and smoothly.
"Good synergy and a strong desire from all stakeholders to advance West Java through flight connectivity make the flight diversion preparations run smoothly, and of course also because of strong support from the community."
"In total there are 12 domestic routes served by Kertajati by airlines no later than July 1, 2019," Yado Yarismano explained.

1. Garuda Indonesia: Denpasar
2. Citilink: Surabaya, Denpasar, Pekanbaru, Medan, Palembang,
3. AirAsia Indonesia: Denpasar, Surabaya
4. Lion Air: Pekanbaru, Banjarmasin, Surabaya, Medan, Denpasar, Batam, Makassar, Balikpapan, Lombok, Pontianak
5. Xpress Air: Padang, Palembang
As for today, Sunday 30 June 2019, there are flights that have been served at Kertajati namely AirAsia Indonesia arriving from Denpasar (QZ 720) around 08.00 WIB and departing for Denpasar (QZ 721) around 08.45 WIB, then Garuda Indonesia arriving from Denpasar (GA 335) around 14.45 WIB.
In line with the operation of AirAsia flights to Denpasar, even today (30 June 2019) free Damri has begun to take passengers at 04.00 WIB from Kebon Kawung, Bandung, to Kertajati.
"We are very grateful for the strong wishes of the airlines and other stakeholders such as Damri so that the flight diversion can run smoothly and successfully, even before the diversion deadline there are airlines that operate flights in Kertajati," Yado Yarismano said.
Kertajati International Airport is the largest airport in West Java and is projected to become the second largest airport in Indonesia after Soekarno-Hatta in Cengkareng. The development of Kertajati will continue until later it has a passenger terminal with a capacity of around 29 million passengers per year.
