Jakarta - The state-owned airport management company, PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero), adds to the list of airports it will manage. The airports that will join the company winning the Best Overall BUMN (Non Tbk) 2018 award at the 2018 BUMN Award event are Fatmawati Soekarno Airport, Bengkulu and Raden Inten II Airport, Lampung.

PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) together with the Director General of Air Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation today (27/8) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding the utilization of assets belonging to the Ministry of Transportation for the development, development and / or exploitation of Fatmawati Soekarno Airport and Raden Inten II Airport.

The signing of the MoU was carried out by President Director of Angkasa Pura II, Muhammad Awaluddin, and Acting Director General of Air Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation, M. Praminto Hadi.

Angkasa Pura II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin said, "All the things contained in the MoU will be further detailed in the Cooperation Agreement (PKS). We are grateful for the trust given by the Ministry of Transportation to us. As instructed by the Minister of Transportation that the Ministry of Transportation is also focused on the development of a pioneer airport therefore the management of these two airports is entrusted to us in the hope of growing and developing. "

The Raden Inten II Airport has a terminal area of ​​5,000 m2 with a runway length of 2,500 x 45 m. The area of ​​the apron reaches 43,600 m2 equipped with 8 parking stands.

As the manager of Raden Inten II Airport, the Ministry of Transportation welcomed this collaboration enthusiastically. With the signing of this MoU, the positive impact that can be felt by the people of Lampung City. "The signing of this MoU is the first step for all parties involved to participate in developing economic potentials in Lampung, especially Raden Inten II Airport. We will always support the positive steps that will be taken by AP II in developing Raden Inten II Airport. cooperating with AP II using the KSP collaboration pattern.The investment made by AP II will be carried out in stages, including from the aspect of human resources and services, it must also increase.It is hoped that in the following years there will be additional new routes that will enter ", said Acting Director General of Air Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation, M. On the other hand, Praminto also expressed his optimism towards Fatmawati Soekarno Airport to be able to immediately feel the positive impacts that will be present after the signing of the memorandum of understanding between Angkasa Pura II and the Ministry of Transportation.

Praminto explained that Angkasa Pura II's profile was considered very suitable to be able to manage an airport that was formerly called Padang Kemiling. Fatmawati Soekarno Airport Manager said, "Angkasa Pura II's track record in managing airports is very positive. That's why we are optimistic that positive things can be shared with us."

Renamed Fatmawati Soekarno Airport in November 2001, the airport has a runway of 2,470 x 150 m with asphalt surface. The biggest type of aircraft that can operate at this airport is Airbus 320 and Boeing 737. AP II has also prepared a total Capex fund of 3.4 Trillion for the development of new airports which will be managed by AP II, including Raden Inten Airport Lampung and the Airport Fatmawati Bengkulu.
