Develop Inorganic Business, PT Angkasa Pura II Hotel Business Recognized by Global Travel Industry

Jakarta - The business expansion of PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) into the hospitality industry has begun to be recognized internationally.

The Horison Sky Kualanamu hotel managed by a subsidiary of AP II, namely PT Angkasa Pura Propertindo, won the 2018 Guest Review Award from Booking.com.

The award was given after the hotel located in Kualanamu Airport got point 9.1 from the highest that could be obtained 10, following the appreciation of the guests which was poured into positive reviews.

AP II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin said this global award was proof of the company's commitment to cultivate a new business by developing from an inorganic business through its subsidiaries.

The Horison Sky Kualanamu Hotel was built on an area of ​​6,900 square meters with an investment of Rp 52 billion, equipped with 100 rooms and other facilities such as restaurants, 4 meeting rooms, spa massage, lounge, business center, laundry & dry cleaning service, and WiFi in each bedroom .

Previously, Digital Airport Hotel, which manages capsule hotels at Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, also won the 2018 Guest Review Award after winning 8.6 points.

As for the hotel business, AP II will also conduct a groundbreaking hotel construction in the near future at Banyuwangi Airport, East Java.

Then in June 2019 the hotel will open at Terminal 3 International Soekarno-Hatta International Airport and then continue the opening of the hotel at Domestic Terminal 3.

After that, the hotel will be opened at Minangkabau International Airport, Padang, where the project is currently in the design process. Last year, AP II and PT Housing Development signed a memorandum of understanding regarding the hotel project at the Padang airport.

"The construction of hotels at various airports and locations aims to accommodate the needs of highly mobile travelers. As we know, 68% of aircraft passengers are millennial generation, so we need to support the mobility of those who need crushing, one of which is a hotel at the airport, "added Muhammad Awaluddin.

The hotel business under the auspices of PT Angkasa Pura Propertindo is one of the efforts of AP II to generate sources of income outside the organic business.

Another inorganic business that will be maximized by AP II is logistics under a subsidiary of PT Angkasa Pura Kargo, then a service provider managed by PT Angkasa Pura Solusi.

The latest, AP II also has a subsidiary, PT Angkasa Pura Aviasi, which focuses on managing partnerships for the development of the company's airports.

In 2019 Angkasa Pura II targets inorganic revenues of around Rp 500 billion from the total estimated 11.4 trillion corporate revenues. These inorganic businesses are among others the hospitality business, as well as the digital business.
