Jakarta - Six airports managed by PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) managed to make Indonesia famous in the global aviation industry.
Airport Council International (ACI) gave various Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Award 2018 awards to the six airports.
The award was given after ACI conducted an ASQ Departures survey of aircraft passengers at 380 airports in 90 countries.
The airports that won the award were Sultan Thaha (Jambi), Depati Amir (Pangkalpinang), Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II (Palembang), Sultan Syarif Kasim II (Pekanbaru), Silangit (Siborong-borong), and Raja Haji Fisabilillah (Tanjung Pinang )
AP II President Director Muhammad Awaluddin said the success of the six airports was the company's success in carrying out various service transformations.
"The transformation of services by AP II is recognized by Airport Council International, which is the only representative from airports around the world. "We are proud to be able to bring the national airport industry even higher at the global level," explained Muhammad Awaluddin.
"AP II continues to be committed to revamping and transforming it for customer satisfaction at airports, where the main thing now is to present Millennial Airport Travel Experience through digitizing services."
General Director of Airport Council International Angela Gittens said this award was the fruit of the efforts of the AP II team in presenting superior customer service.
"Your customers have voiced and acknowledged the success of your team's efforts in presenting superior experiences for customers," he said in an email to AP II.
The following are complete awards received by six AP II airports from ACI:
1. Sultan Thaha Airport - Jambi:
• Best Airport by Size and Region (Under 2 million passengers in Asia-Pacific)
• Best Environment and Ambience by Size (Under 2 million passengers)
• Best Customer Service by Size (Under 2 million passengers)
• Best Infrastructure and Facilitation by Size (Under 2 million passengers)
2. Depati Amir Airport - Pangkalpinang:
• Best Airport by Size and Region (Under 2 million passengers in Asia-Pacific)
• Best Environment and Ambience by Size (Under 2 million passengers)
• Best Customer Service by Size (Under 2 million passengers)
• Best Infrastructure and Facilitation by Size (Under 2 million passengers)
3. Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Airport - Palembang:
• Best Airport by Size and Region (2-5 million passengers in Asia-Pacific)
• Best Environment and Ambience by Size (2-5 million passengers)
• Best Customer Service by Size (2-5 million passengers)
• Best Infrastructure and Facilitation by Size (2-5 million passengers)
4. Sultan Syarif Kasim II Airport - Pekanbaru:
• Best Airport by Size and Region (2-5 million passengers in Asia-Pacific)
• Best Environment and Ambience by Size (2-5 million passengers)
